We went to our first trade show in August and didn't really know what to expect. We got to Vegas later than anticipated and nothing was going as planned. Due to stormy weather, delayed flights, lost luggage, and a fussy seven month old baby- we got a late start setting up. Needless to say, I was worried.
We started to set up our booth around 8 pm the night before the show began. After building the display case and placing everything where it was potentially going to be, we returned to our hotel room hoping that somehow everything would come together. It was a long day!
The next morning we built a chalkboard wall and made our final touches as people started walking in. Talk about last minute! The chalkboard wall turned out so fun and we got positive feedback on our designs which gave me a boost. I loved visiting with potential buyers and being surrounded by fellow business owners and well established brands. I look forward to reselling Feral watches in stores around the world, so keep your eyes open!
From beginning to end the trade show was so inspiring. It was a nice reminder that Feral is more than just a company that designs wrap watches. Feral reflects a lifestyle that appeals to the adventure souls and free spirits, but is also grounded with core values such as relationships and humility. That is what matters most to me, and that is the sort of life I want to live.
I'd like to thank my partner and husband Drew Hollenback, my sister Kylie, and my son Van for their support in making Feral's first trade show a success. People probably think I'm crazy for bringing my baby, but he was such a trooper and loved smiling at everyone he came in contact with. We look forward to going to more trade shows in the future and thanks again for stopping by!
