This shoot was just an everyday kind of day at our cabin up in Northern BC, Canada.  We have a wood stove in our cabin so chopping wood is a daily ritual.  My desire for photography is real life.  I want to document real moments that mean something to me, not staged and perfect.  It's the times that I don't care and am myself that end up being my absolute favourite photos.

My entire life revolves around being outside and enjoying nature.  My husband and I decided a few years ago that we needed this life of adventure and wonder to survive as humans.  We choose jobs around it and where we live.  We bought our cabin up at a tiny ski hill in Northern BC Canada called Powder King.  Life is simple and complete there.   We have all we've ever needed from good snow, amazing mountains and the most beautiful souls in the world.  We decided that life in the mountains just makes sense and makes you feel whole.  Your mind is clear, as if you've tapped into some sort of different realm.  We both had the desire to work in the mountains so after a few years of training we both got jobs down in Revelstoke BC as mountain guides.  Continuously life feels like it's on the right path and I am so grateful for all the wonderful things I get to do!  Nature and a life full of adventure has taught me so many beautiful lessons.  Being rich has nothing to do with money.  I feel so rich in this life :)
